Take Away Hunger will be held at St. John the Baptist on October 9, 2019. Grades 4 thru 12 will meet from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The evening is divided into three-twenty-minute rotating sessions. Joe Mischka will provide a presentation on Haitian Agriculture in the area of Haiti where our sister parishes of Notre Dame de Lourdes are located (church proper). In the lower level, packaging of the meals to be sent to Haiti. In the education wing, the students will be learning more about Haitian agriculture.
All parishioners are encouraged to attend and join in one or all of the sessions, especially the packaging sessions in the lower level, they can always use some extra help. And, you won’t want to miss Joe’s presentation. Sponsored by the Social Justice Team, the team is looking for high school students and adults to help set-up the packaging space in the lower level and clean up following the packaging. If you can help, email firstname.lastname@example.org and let her know when you are available. They will begin setting up at 5:00 p.m. on that day, Wednesday, October 9, prior to the actual packaging. Clean up and packing the truck will follow the packaging.
