Lectors – please check your email for an invitation to attend a virtual workshop series to be held in the St. Isidore parish hall. Topics include  The Spiritual Life of the Lector on Tues, Oct 30, and Living Out the Ministry of Lector in the World Today on Tues, Nov 13.  Session broadcasts begin at 6:30p and end about 8p. The Liturgy Commission decided to cancel Children’s Liturgy for Saturday, October 27 so that the children and leaders can be present for communal anointing which is scheduled after the homily that evening.

Mass for All Saints Day at St.  Isidore  will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 1st

Remembrance Service Sunday Nov. 4th @ 2:00 pm  The Liturgy Commission at St. Isidore has hosted this remembrance service for the past few years as a way for families to remember the loved ones they have lost in the past year as they approach the holidays. We WELCOME you and your family as our guests to our spiritual table of remembrance on Sunday afternoon, Nov 4th @ 2:00 pm. Whether it be family/friend/co-worker that you have lost, please consider joining us for reflection, prayer and song. The name of your loved one will be read at our service and each family/representative will receive a candle to take home and light during the holiday season. Please contact the church office by phone at (319) 854-6141 (leave message) or by e-mail (stizzy@netins.net),or Cheryl @ (319) 854-7395, or Marilyn @ (319) 350-4778 to enroll the name of the one to be remembered. If available, please bring a picture of the loved one. We ask that you arrive a few minutes early so that your loved one’s name can be incorporated into the prayer service. Refreshments will be served in the parish hall Immediately following the service.
