The mission of the Faith Formation Team is to serve, equip, and support parishes as they provide on-going formation in the faith.
Our highest priority is to support Faith Formation Leaders (and other parish leaders involved with formational ministries) through networking, guidance, resources, and professional development.
We also provide direct formational programs, services, resources, and events as a way to strengthen, reinforce, and support parish ministry.
The Adult Formation Department assists parishes with the passing on and deepening of the Catholic faith of all, specifically by forming adults to live as missionary disciples. The Children Formation Department assists parishes with the passing on and deepening of the Catholic faith of all, specifically in the areas of Infant and Children Catechesis. This department is the first point of contact for preparation for the sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation and Faith Formation Resources. The Family Formation Department assists with the Church’s mission of passing on and deepening the Catholic faith of all, specifically in the formation of families with children and Baptism Preparation. The Marriage Formation Department assists parishes with promoting the vocation of marriage, preparing engaged couples for marriage, providing marriage enrichment ministry, and caring for married couples who are struggling as well as caring for those who have been divorced or separated. It also promotes and provides resources for Natural Family Planning (NFP) This department is the first point of contact for preparation for the sacrament of Matrimony. The Youth Ministry Department serves and supports parishes with coordinating a vibrant youth ministry. Additionally, it serves the young people of the Archdiocese by providing programs that help them to have an encounter with Christ and His Church. The Young Adult Ministry Department serves and supports parishes with the important task of accompanying young adults in their growth as disciples. This office helps re-engage those young adults who may have drifted away from their Catholic faith, out-reach to the unchurched, and strategies for ongoing engagement and discernment for those who are active in their faith.
