Director of Faith Formation– Due to retirement, St. Raphael Cathedral and St. Patrick’s, Dubuque, IA are seeking a Director of Faith Formation to oversee all areas of faith formation for our linked parishes. Director of Campus Ministry – St. Stephen the Witness Catholic Student Center at the University of Northern Iowa seeks a Director of Campus Ministry.  The Director will lead professional staff, peer ministers, students, and community members with a vision of evangelizing the campus community.  The purpose of St. Stephen’s is to form missionary disciples to share the Good News on the UNI campus.  Therefore, the Director needs to be a committed disciple of Jesus Christ with a shepherd’s heart for the lost.  The Director will help continue to implement the Evangelical Catholic model of ministry, as they will be entering service at St. Stephen’s in the early stages of a three-year alliance with EC.  As the administrator of the Student Center, the Director needs to be a trustworthy and proven steward of resources, and an effective leader.  The qualified candidate for this position will be a practicing Catholic, hold a Master’s degree in theological or ministry studies, and have several years of experience in ministry and administration.  Send cover letter and resume by May 1 to Rev. Director of Music/Campus Minister – St. Thomas Aquinas Parish and Catholic Student Center, Ames, IA, seeks to hire a full time Director of Music/Campus Minister. The Director of Music will coordinate all aspects of music ministry involving resident parishioners, college students, and youth in this dynamic parish setting. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of and experience with Catholic liturgical music and contemporary Christian music, as well as the ability to serve as an accompanist and worship leader. The candidate will also play an instrumental role with Campus Ministry, gathering and mentoring student leaders, meeting with college students for one-on-one discipleship, as well as directing vibrant student large group ministry. Director of Evangelization – St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, Ames, IA is looking to hire a full-time (with benefits), 11-month Director of Evangelization for the 2017-18 parish year. The Director of Evangelization will foster within the parish a culture of missionary discipleship and evangelization through gathering, forming, training and sending adult parishioners as evangelizers in the world. Lead Catechist/Youth Minister & Confirmation Coordinator – St. Paul School of Religion, Grades 7-12, Manchester, Iowa. The primary function of the Lead Catechist, Youth Minister and Confirmation Coordinator will be to provide vision, coordination and lesson plans for adolescent catechesis in grades 7-12 based on the Adapted Curriculum Framework set forth by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The Lead Teacher will recruit and hire catechists for Grades 7-12 and complete and maintain the necessary record keeping associated with this position. Responsibilities for Youth Ministry Coordinator will include a weekly schedule of events for youth in Grades 7-12 and will promote, plan and fundraise for bi-annual mission trips, the National Conference Youth Conference and other local and diocesan events.   This person must be willing to attend local student school events to foster relationships with our teens. Confirmation coordinator duties include all aspects of planning and coordinating classes according to Archdiocesan guidelines including a retreat day for student and sponsors.

This is a full-time, hourly position (30 – 40 hours). The candidate must be an active Catholic in good standing, with a deep faith who is called to ministry. A Theology and Religious Education and/or teaching background is preferred.

Director, Faith Formation – St. Ludmila Parish, a progressive faith community in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is looking for a creative and engaging Director of Faith Formation. Interested applicants must demonstrate a strong formation in theology and praxis founded in the Spirit of Vatican II. The collaborative leader will work with the Coordinator of Religious Education who leads grade school and middle school religious education, and a part time youth minister who leads an active middle school, high school, confirmation program and young adult ministry. Technology and Communication Person – St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Dubuque, IA is looking for a part-time staff member who is excited about using new contemporary ways to reconnect the unchurched or disengaged by telling the parish story through social media, electronic communication, and other marketing efforts.

This 20-hour per week position has flexible hours, collaborates with the parish communication and marketing committee, and has the following responsibilities: Lead and support marketing and communication efforts of the parish as needed; maintain parish social media channels by generating content, responding to messages and monitoring analytics; oversee parish-wide graphics and branding to ensure visual and message consistency; assist in design of parish publications including postcards, screen presentations for mass, videos, electronic signage, bulletins, homily graphics, and more; and lead efforts to update and redesign the parish website;

Requirements are: familiarity with current and emerging social media tools; experience using marketing tools to tell a story; desire to work on a faith-based team to help others enhance their spiritual life; ability to work some evenings and Sunday mornings; technology proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office; and experience running live graphics presentations and familiarly with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus. Director of Family Life – The Archdiocese of Dubuque has a full-time opening for a Director of Family Life beginning July 1, 2017.  The Director of Family life is responsible for developing initiatives and strategies to help parishes evangelize and catechize families, form them as domestic churches, and respond to their growing and complex pastoral needs. The position is responsible for the education and promotion of the vocation of marriage including marriage preparation, fertility care and Natural Family Planning, marriage enrichment, and support for marriages and families that are hurting.
