MENTORING AND INDUCTION

This course provides participants with the skills to make a significant emotional and intellectual difference in the induction experience for new teachers, as well as in their continuing professional practice. Participants will develop and expand skills necessary to increase their colleague’s effectiveness as professional problem-solvers and decision makers. The course is based on the Journey to Excellence program developed by the ISEA and AEA’s.

Teachers will be considered trained mentors at the end of the program and can serve in the mentor role in subsequent years without needing to attend the full training again.

The cost for materials is approximately $40.00. The OCS will purchase the materials and schools will be billed.
