Bible Studies

Scripture, read and prayed, on a sustained daily basis, has the power to transform the human heart and convert the human person to Jesus Christ. One proven method to grow in faith is through the practice of Lectio Divina (Sacred Reading).

We encourage you to personally invite and gather a small group of friends each week to discuss the Sunday readings. We invite you to use Sharing in Faith: Growing in Holiness, a method of Lectio Divina created for R.C.I.A. and small faith-sharing groups from the Archdiocese of Dubuque Office of Worship: https://www.dbqarch.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/FaithSharebrochure.pdf

We have also included lists of prepared Bible studies, which may be appropriate for particular study at varying levels. Though we have categorized them as Introductory, Intermediate, and Advanced, we also know many people who have spent years studying the Bible, may still benefit from an “Introductory” study, while someone quite unfamiliar with the Bible may glean much from an “Intermediate” study. Please feel free to use these resources according to the needs of those participating in the study.

Feel free to contact the Office of Adult Faith Formation at dbqcaf@dbqarch.org for more information or check the Archdiocesan Education Resource Center to use the following resources or additional resources to suit your particular need: https://www.dbqarch.org/offices/education-resource-center/.
