2018 Chrism Mass – Streaming live, March 27 at 2:00 p.m.
The Chrism Mass is held in every Catholic diocese in the world when the local bishop gathers the clergy, lay pastoral leaders, and the Holy People of God to bless and consecrate the Holy Oils for use in the coming year: Oil of the Sick, Oil of Catechumens, and Sacred Chrism. Every parish keeps Holy Oils in a special container in church called the ambry near the parish baptismal font. The rich oil, olive oil, symbolizes the richness of Godā€™s grace.
